ABOUT THIS ISSUE:
Welcome to our Spring 2025 issue! Our 1950s inspired “Stanley Baxter takes the mike” cover art was created by illustrator AJ Duncan.
We’re travelling back in time for 2025 and the first edition of the year zooms in on the 1950s where we find out about queer life on screen, through a dedicated language (Polari) and we find out more about queer icons who were born and lived in that difficult decade when homosexuality was still illegal and gay lives were very much hidden.
Featured in issue 18 are interviews with TV favourite Heather Peace, drag star Chanel O’Conor and politician-turned-comedian, Mhairi Black.
